Longrow Peated

The Longrow Peated is a peated Campbeltown single malt from the Springbank distillery. The brand is owned by J & A Mitchell & Co. The only copmany that is permitted to bottle Longrow although the distillery doesn't exist anymore. The Longrow Peated is a No Age Statement (NAS) whisky finished in Bourgogne casks. It was bottled at 46%, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: salt and a leathery smokiness come to the fore in a maritime combination, like a Harbourmaster's Jacket

Palate: light and sweet with notes of green grapes and rhubarb, a great contrast to the nose. Then comes a big blast of smoke

Finish: that salty smokiness returns from the nose providing a deeply satisfying ending
