Glen Scotia Double Cask

The Glen Scotia Double Cask is a Campbeltown single malt from the Glen Scotia distillery. One of the three releases, together with the 15 years old and Victoriana, that comprise the new core range of this distillery since June 2015. This Double Cask matured in first fill bourbon casks and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks before being bottled at 46% ABV.

Nose: very sweet with crème caramel, caramelized fruit sugars, toffee and fudge followed by apple, peach and later on also drying notes and more complexity with a hint of mint

Palate: sweet in the beginning followed by some alcohol on the tongue and dry notes with complexity and a hint of mint

Finish: complex and dark
