Mackinlay’s Shackleton Blended Malt

The Mackinlay’s Shackleton Blended Malt is an affordable version of the variety of special Mackinlay’s releases inspired by the whisky that Sir Ernest Shackleton left at Antarctica in the early 1900’s. Over 100 years later this whisky was discovered frozen but intact. This blended malt was created by master blender Richard Paterson and comprises the same tasting profile as that of Shackleton’s favourite whisky.

Nose: brown sugar with cinnamon and malt

Palate: juicy apples and oranges with honey

Finish: lingering aromas of butterscotch and oranges
