MacNair’s Lum Reek Blended Malt 12yo

The MacNair’s Lum Reek Blended Malt 12 years old is a blended malt assembled by GlenAllachie Master Distillery Billy Walker. This is the 12 year old version and a blended malt of heavily peated Islay malts combined with mellow and spices Speyside single malts topped of with a few GlenAllachie casks. This version matured in first fill bourbon, Pedro Ximenez sherry and red wine casks and married together at GlenAllachie distillery. It’s a small batch release bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: sweet peat smoke with butterscotch and mocha

Palate: rich peat reek with heather, butterscotch, toffee and sweet spices

Finish: peated, rich and medium long with a hint of sweetness
