Cladach Special Release 2018 (57,1%)

The Cladach Special Release 2018 is a mysterious blended malt from six coastal distilleries in the Diageo portfolio: Caol Ila, Clynelish, Lagavulin, Oban, Inchgower and Talisker. This whisky’s have matured in first fill American oak casks, refill American oak hogsheads, refill European oak butts and ex-Bodega European oak butts. The Cladach was bottled in 2018, as part of the 2018 Special Release series, at natural cask strength of 57,1% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: dark fruit, bonfire smoke, pine needles, seaweed, salted caramel, orange oil and lemon cake

Palate: sweeter and smokier with wood smoke, black berries, stewed apple, hard toffee, liquorice, honeycomb and a hint of mint

Finish: drying with dark chocolate, more smoke, dried orange zest and a hint of vanilla
