Big Peat Christmas Edition 2019 (53,7%)

The Big Peat Christmas Edition 2019 is the ninth release in this Chrismas series of cask strength Big Peat bottlings by Douglas Laing. This Islay blended malt from the Remarkable Regional Malts series is made from a variety of Islay malts including Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen and was bottled at natural cask strength of 53,7% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. 

Nose: ash, bonfire, maritime influences, tar and peat smoke

Palate: seaweed and peat with liquorice, aniseed, furniture wax, tar and smoke

Finish: long and warm with peat, iodine, leather and a seabreeze
