Nikka Taketsuru Fortune 80 6cl sample

The Nikka Taketsuru Fortune 80 is a pretty young Japanese whisky from the eighties named after Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru. There is little known about this release despite that it is bottled at 43% ABV.

Nose: wax, ceder wood, flowers, green tea, dry wine, some citrus and light mineral notes

Palate: strong with spices, sweetness, also savoury notes, honey, ceder wood, old oak, dusty books, some tobacco and wax

Finish: medium long with fresh notes of honey, pear and tannins
