Chichibu Ichiro’s Malt & Grain Blended Whisky 6cl sample

The Chichibu Ichiro’s Malt & Grain Blended Whisky is a blend whisky made by Chichibu founder Ichiro Akuto. A ‘world blend’ based on Chichibu malt together with whisky’s from Scotland, Ireland, American and Canada. All matured for 3-5 years in their own country before they were transported to Japan. There they’ve been recasked in Chichibu casks for a maturation of 1-3 years. This world blend was bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a 6cl sample.

Nose: apricots, popcorn, toffee, vanilla cream and lemon zest

Palate: chestnuts, lebkuchen, vanilla and black pepper

Finish: medium long with honey and black pepper
