The Amrut Naarangi is an interesting whisky experiment to get around EU regulation that forbids any flavour additions to whisky. For the Naarangi orange zests from Madikeri have been added to casks filled with Oloroso sherry to mature for 3 years. The casks have been emptied and were then filled with 3 years old Amrut whisky for another 3 years. The result is a 6 years old Indian single malt with unique orange aromas. Bottled at 50% ABV. Naarangi is the Hindi word for orange and this is the Batch No. 5 2018 release of this whisky.
Colour: amber orange
