Midleton Very Rare 2019Vintage Release

The Midleton Very Rare is an Irish single malt whiskey from the Midleton distillery. This Very Rare matures in lightly toasted ex-bourbon American oak casks for around 20 years. The new spirit for this whisky is triple distilled, just like e.g. Auchentoshan does. This 2019 Vintage Release edition was bottled at 40% ABV.

Nose: mandarins and nutmeg with aromas of warm raisin scones and heavy cake

Palate: spices like nutmeg and cinnamon with dried fruit, orange peel, vanilla, baked pear and some fragrant apricots

Finish: more savoury with notes of clove and green pepper
