Clonakilty Single Batch Double Oak Finish 6cl sample

The Clonakilty Single Batch Double Cask Finish is an Irish whiskey released by the Clonakilty distillery. This Double Oak Finish matured in ex-bourbon casks, it is finished in virgin American oak; and shaved, toasted and re-charred ex-red wine European oak casks. This is batch 11 bottled at 43,6% as a limited release of 1500 bottles.This is a 6cl sample.

Nose: soft spices, vanilla, freshly mown grass and ripe apple and pear with a hint of leather

Palate: sweet warm spices with a hint of white pepper and ginger, hazelnuts, almonds and again freshly mown grass

Finish: lingering spices with fresh wood shavings, popcorn and caramelized apple
