Armorik Milésime 2002 - 2014 (55,7%)

The Armorik Milésime 2002 - 2014 is a French single malt from Brittany. This whisky comes from the Warenghem distillery. Armorik is the Gaelic name for Brittany  and the people from Brittany feel strongly connected to Scotland, Ireland and Wales. They have large Gaelic influences which are e.g. expressed in the logo of Armorik. This Milésime was distilled on the 18th of February 2002 and has matured in Oloroso sherry butt 3298. It was bottled in July 2014 at natural cask strength of 55,7%, non chill filtered and with no added colour, a limited release of 723 bottles.

Nose: a bit dry with notes of fruit, syrup, oak and chalk

Palate: slightly peppery with notes of dried apple, citrus, black pepper and a little oily

Finish: sweet and sharp with notes of apple, oak, ginger, citrus and grass
