The Stauning Rye is a Danish rye whisky from the Stauning distillery. It’s made from rye (70%) and barley (30%) and matured in new American oak cask. It’s like freshly baked Danish rye bread with a lot of ‘roast’ aromas. This Rye is bottled at 48% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.
This X-Mas giftbox contains a bottle of the Rye, a glass, a pencil and a Christmas calendar.
“The idea of our Christmas calendar is that the consumer can have one whisky drink a day for 24 days in December. Each day the consumer is supposed to mark off the current date on the dateline placed on the bottle, using the provided golden marker, counting down the days leading to Christmas Eve.
The Christmas calendar is a door-calendar and behind each door, you'll find an anecdote about Stauning, about whisky, or maybe even a recipe for a cocktail, which includes Stauning Rye”
Nose: freshly baked rye bread with brambles, pepper, oak and a hint of menthol
