The Westland Sherry Wood American Single Malt Whiskey is a sherried American malt from Seattle. This Sherry Wood is a blend of five barley types: Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt and Brown Malt. It is fermented with Belgian brewer’s yeast and matured for at least 26 months in virgin American oak barrels (Cooper’s Select New American Oak and Cooper’s Reserve New American Oak) and sherry cask (Ex-Oloroso hogsheads and butts and ex-Pedro Ximenez hogsheads and butt). It was bottled at 46% ABV.
Nose: honey, raisins, wholegrain cookies and maple syrup over banana pancakes
Palate: kiwi, maple and raisin syrup, sweet cookies, pastry and sherry
Finish: lots of stewed yellow fruit
