The Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch C918 is a small batch Kentucky bourbon (around 12 years old)_ named after Elijah Craig. He was named for a reverend who lived in Virginia. He kept a warehouse where he stored barrels and one day experienced a devastating fire. He used the charred casks regardless and found they imparted a lovely character. This Barrel Proof release was bottled at 131.4 proof a.k.a. 65,7% ABV.
Nose: vanilla, maple butter, oak spices and saw dust
Palate: dry oak with browning apples, orange zest, oak spices and cinnamon
Finish: toasted oak with light spicy aromas
