The David Nicholson Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon 100 Proof is an old name in bourbon, David Nicholson was originally developed for a grocer in St Louis back in the 1840s. However, these days the name is attached to this rye-forward, 100 proof release a.k.a. 50% ABV from the folks behind Yellowstone and Blood Oath. It's got a nice hit of rye spice as well.
Nose: peanuts, sweet cherries, baking spices and some floral notes
Palate: spices and sweetness with cinnamon raisin bread, pecan nuts, banana, rye spices and pepper
Finish: mild spices with more sweetness of burnt sugar
