Bruichladdich Octomore 9.3 (62,9%)

The Bruichladdich Octomore 9.3 is the third release in the ninth batch of heavily peated Islay single malts from Bruichladdich. This Octomore is 5 years old and matured in first fill American oak (25%), third fill virgin oak (25%), second fill Rivesaltes casks (20%), second fill Syrah casks (20%) and 10% second fill bourbon casks. It was bottled in 2018 at natural cask strength of 62,9% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a limited release of 18.000 bottles.

Nose: toasted oak with burnt herbs, fresh grass and vanilla with lots of smoke

Palate: smoked black tea with peat reek, a sea breeze, honey and golden syrup

Finish: salted butter and bonfire
