The Bruichladdich Islay Barley is a limited edition Islay single malt also called 'the ultimate single malt'. It's named Islay Barley because it consists of a single barley variety from one single harvest and one single field, all at/from Islay. The barley for this single malt is harvested in 2006 while its distilled in 2007. This 2007 edition is the third release of this so called 100% Islay whisky and has matured in American oak casks. It's bottled at natural cask strength of 50%.
