The Old Particular Glen Ord 13 years old 2004 is a young Highlands single malt bottled by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. It was distilled in September 2004 and matured in refill hogshead DL12060. It was bottled in September 2017 at 48,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a limited single cask release of 312 bottles.
Nose: full of sweet juicy barley plus a pinch of tobacco and later warm spices
Palate: the spices are more to the fore initially with honeycomb and firm Malt
Finish: attractively warmingly spiced – showing a later sugared mocha style
