Glenrothes Vintage 2001 (2nd Edition)

This Glenrothes Vintage 2001 is the 2nd edition of this spirit and was bottled in 2013. This vintage has matured in both Spanish and American oak casks as is common with most  Glenrothes releases. A limited edition Speyside single malt bottled at 43% ABV and the first Glenrothes fully matured in the 21st century.

Nose: very aromatic with notes of cinnamon, lemon, butterscotch, malt and orange zests

Palate: fresh and sweet in the beginning followed by vanilla, honey, delicate maltiness, caramel, apple and spices

Finish: very spicy with bittersweet notes of black cherries
