Caol Ila Distillers Edition 2001 - 2013

The Caol Ila Distillers Edition 2001 - 2013 is a 12 years old Islay single malt bottled in the Diageo Distillers Editions 2007 series. After having matured on the usual Caol Ila casks a small number of casks has been finished in ex-Moscatel casks. The results is a smoky and sweet Caol Ila with rich mahony aromas and a hint of wine.

Nose: peaty and slightly bitter with rich fruit aromas

Palate: in the beginning sweet and malty followed by peat smoke and intense sweet, clean and crispy notes, a little dry

Finish: long and robust
