Mortlach 21yo Special Release 2020 (56,9%)

The Mortlach 21 years old Special Release 2020 is Speyside single malt from Mortlach distillery bottled in the Diageo Special Release series 2020. A 21 year old release from 1999 matured in PX and Oloroso sherry seasoned casks. It was bottled in 2020 at natural cask strength of 56,9% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited release of 7692 bottles.

Tasting notes: Rich dried fruits, fresh-baked buttered scones and lime marmalade on the nose, leading to an intense, savoury palate with a ‘kick’ of chilli pepper. Drying overall, with rich tannins. The finish presents fruit and savoury notes.
