Kininvie 17yo 1996 Batch 1 (42,6%)

The Kininvie 17 years old Batch 1 is a Speysider and one of the first single malt releases of this distillery. It was bottled in 1996 and matured in bourbon casks (80%) and sherry casks (20%) before being bottled as a travel retail release in 2014 at 42,6% ABV and in a 350ml bottle.

Nose: pleasant fresh fruit aromas with vanilla, nuts, some spices and later on some floral notes

Palate: soft and creamy with fruitiness, malted barley, tobacco spices, cinnamon and nutmeg

Finish: warm and delicate with a hint of toasted oak
