The Benromach 20th Anniversary Bottling is the anniversary release celebrating the new start the Benromach distillery made under it’s new owners, the Urquhart family, on the 23rd of April 1998. After being silent for over 15 years the distillery was fired up again producing a lightly peated malt. This anniversary bottling is a 19 year old release from 1998 matured in first fill oak barrels. It was bottled in 2018 at batch strength of 56,2% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited release of 3.000 bottles.
Nose: fruitcake and vanilla with hints of fresh citrus fruit, dark chocolate and warm spicy aromas
Palate: sweetness of raisins and apples with dark chocolate, orange zest, toffee, liquorice and ginger
Finish: long and creamy with toasted oak, subtle spices and a hint of smoke
