This 18 years old Auhchroisk was bottled in the Old Particular series of independent bottler Douglas Laing. A Speyside single malt distilled in October 1994 and matured in refill hogshead cask DL 9899. Bottled in August 2013 at 48,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 335 bottles.
Nose: lots of fruit, buttery and floral with sweet custard, baked apple, anise and a hint of lemon
Palate: punchy and very spicy with sweet and fruity overtones and a lot of vanilla followed by honey, liquorice, ginger and pepper
Finish: medium long, clean and fresh with light citrus aromas, some wood and slightly drying
