Mortlach 26yo Special Release 2019

The Mortlach 26 years old Special Release 2019 is an older Speyside single malt from the Mortlach distillery bottled in the 2019 Special Releases series from Diageo. This Mortlach was distilled in 1993 and matured in freshly toasted first fill Pedro Ximenez casks and seasoned Oloroso sherry casks. It was bottled in 2019 at natural cask strength of 53,3% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. This is a limited release of 3883 bottles.

Nose: leather, polished oak and furniture wax, walnuts, tobacco, cooked peaches, dried apricots and dates

Palate: creamy and oily with aromas of leather, tobacco, sweet fudge, chocolate and vanilla followed by cherries and red berries

Finish: long with pepper, orange zest and chocolate with salted caramel
