Cardhu 21yo Special Release 1991 - 2013 (54,2%)

The Cardhu 21yo Special Release 1991 - 2013 is a bottled in the 2013 Diageo Special Release series. A 21 years old Speyside single malt distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2013. Matured at ex-bourbon casks of European oak and a rare and old Cardhu malt. A limited release of 6000 bottles bottled at natural cask strength of 54,2%.

Nose: mild with creamy and fruity notes of vanilla and bubble gum followed by rich aromas of flowers, perfume, dried figs, rum and raisin ice, red apples and bee wax. Later also malty notes and aromas of biscuits, vanilla custard and a hint of mandarin

Palate: gentle and savoury with a light acidity and a pleasant dryness, aromatic notes of black berries and fresh fruit

Finish: long and aromatic with warm and gentle vanilla notes, orange oil, spices and a silky dryness
