Big Peat The Vintage Series 25yo The Gold Edition (52,1%)

The Big Peat The Vintage Series 25 years old The Gold Edition is an older Islay blende malt bottled by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This first of three releases was mostly distilled in 1992 and contains malts from Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen. It was bottled in 2017 at natural cask strength of 52,1% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited release of 3.000 bottles.

Nose: boat wax, sandy beach and smoky barbecue

Palate: sweet peat with black pepper, soot and smoke

Finish: warmth and sweetness with bonfire, ash and roasted meat
