Tomatin Cu Bocan 1988 Vintage (51,5%)

The Tomatin Cu Bocan 1988 Vintage is a 27 years old Tomatin matured in former sherry casks from an Islay distillery (Ardbeg). A limited release of 2200 bottles of this peated Tomatin expression distilled on the 2^nd of December 1988 and bottled in 2016 at 51,5% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour.

Nose: delicate campfire smoke and sweet ash give way to stewed pears, Peach Melba and toasted coconut. Hints of fresh cut grass, heather and cereal linger in the background with creamy buttermilk

Palate: candied tropical fruits are perfectly balanced with an earthy peat tang. In time, warming dried fruit, blood orange and a gentle nut note emerge

Finish: earthy smoke and oak spice linger with a creamy texture
