Tomatin 1988 Vintage Batch 1

The Tomatin 1988 Vintage Batch 1 is a 25 years old Highlands single malt. Distilled in 1988 and matured in bourbon casks and port pipes. Bottled in 2013 at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited release of 2500 bottles.

Nose: Jammy and sweet up front, hints of strawberries and fresh melon. Ginger and oak warmth. Good hit of sugary vanilla in there too, and maybe a bit of smoke

Palate: Mouth-coating and rich, plenty of cake-y vanilla and honey. Stone fruit, white pepper and once again the smoke wafts in

Finish: Long and honey'd. Final splash of fresh fruits
