Strathmill 25yo Special Release 1988 – 2014 (52,4%)

The Strathmill 25 years old Special Release 1988 – 2014 is a 25 years old Speyside single malt bottled in the 2014 series of the Diageo Special Releases. Distilled in 1988 and matured in refill American oak casks. Bottled in 2015 at cask strength of 52,4%, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited release of 2700 bottles.

Colour: bright gold

Nose: fruity with wild flowers followed by sherry aromas of fruit compote, biscuits, cereal, orange oil, stewed apple and white grapes

Palate: creamy and coating with bee wax, ripe red apples, earthy notes with liquorice, raisins, dried fruit, dark chocolate, and dry notes of cough syrup and cloves

Finish: long with dry notes of black tea and oak shavings
