The Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength Caol Ila 31 years old 1988 is an Islay single malt from the Caol Ila distillery bottled by the independent bottler Gordon & Macphail. This Caol Ila was distilled in 1988 and matured in refill sherry butt 225. This butt was bottled on the 13^th of January 2020 at natural cask strength of 51,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 518 bottles.

Nose: fresh with vanilla, lemon zest and baked apples

Palate: rich and sweet with marmalade, spices, black pepper and smoke

Finish: soft with a hint of wood smoke
