This 23 years old port matured Bowmore single malt is known as a magnificent port whisky. A cask strength release of 50,8% distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2013.

Nose: classic Bowmore flavours like sea breeze and a hint of iodine but at the same time very lively with notes of smoked bbq meat, black pepper and red port. With some water it becomes more fruity with aromas of citrus, plums and a hint of nectarines

Palate: sweet and savoury with notes of charcoal, sea breeze, sweetness, a delicate smoke, spices and some drought coming from oak. With some water more subtle notes like menthol, orange zest and a delicate smoke

Finish: long with charcoal smoke
