The Glenlochy 33 years old Gordon & Macphail Rare Old 1979 – 2012 is a Highlands single malt from the in 1983 closed Glenlochy distillery bottled in the Rare Old series of the independent bottler Gordon & Macphail. Distilled in 1979 and matured in refill sherry hogshead RO/12/04. Bottled on the 26th of October 2012 at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 460 bottles.
Nose: boiled sweetness, fresh apple pie, freshly sewn grass and driftwood
Palate: sweet and salt in the beginning with roasted biscuits and a hint of smoke
Finish: sherry with fruit and a hint of salt
