The Glenglassaugh 41 years old 1975 Sauterness Hogshead #1277 is an old Speyside single malt from the Glenglassaugh distillery. It was distilled on the 18th of June 1975 and matured in Sauterness hogshead 1277. It was bottled in November 2016 as part of the Rare Cask Release Batch 3 series at natural cask strength of 50,5% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 177 bottles.
Nose: Hints of wild honey, white pepper spice, yellow pear, apricot preserve and barley sugars.
Palate: Caramelised orchard fruits, warm oak, cinnamon spice, grape skin and rich sweet barley.
Finish: medium long with more fruit and spices
