The Glenfiddich 1979 Rare Collection is a remarkable and old Glenfiddich release from 1979. A single cask release from American Oak Hogshead 11138. Distilled on the 13^th of April 1979 and bottled on the 18^th of August 2015. A 36 years old release bottled at natural cask strength of 51,8%, non chill filtered and with added colour. A limited release of 186 bottles. This is bottle 027.

Nose: a robust oaky aroma with subtle vanilla, dusty spices and aged tobacco leaf. Delicate leafy notes are beautifully entwined with ripe green apple and mandarin orange

Palate: deep, rich and warming with barley sugar sweetness. The flavour evolves through soft fruits, slightly dry oak, ground ginger and fresh nutmeg before returning to a satisfying balance of rich oak and fruity sweetness

Finish: long lasting oak tannin sweetness
