Xtra Old Particular Garnheath 42yo 1974 (48,2%)

The Xtra Old Particualr Garnheath 42 years old 1974 is a Lowlands single grain from the closed Garnheath distillery bottled by the independent bottler Douglas Laing in their Xtra Old Particular series. It was distilled in February 1974 and matured in refill barrel DL11093. It was bottled in February 2016 at natural cask strength of 48,2% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 162 bottles.

Nose: sweet spices with toffee, milk chocolate and sugared coconut

Palate: sweet and creamy with honey and vanilla

Finish: long and soft with liquorice
