The Glenrothes Robur Reserve, also called Quercus Robur, is a 2008 travel retail release from this Speyside distillery. The name Quercus Robur is the Latin synonym for European wood. This wood is mostly used by Glenrothes together with casks of Quercus Alba (American oak). This release has used more casks of European oak and is therefore also a little spicier, fruitier, sweeter and more elegant. This exclusive release also was the first Glenrothes to be bottled in a liter bottle.
