The Tomatin Contrast is a limited release of two 35cl Tomatins. A comparison between in bourbon and in sherry matured Tomatins. Each box contains two 35cl bottles made from a vatting of casks from 1973, 1977, 1988, 1991, 2002 and 2006. One of them solely matured in bourbon casks and the other one solely in sherry casks. Both are bottled at 46% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited release of 5400 bottles per cask type.
Bourbon Matured
Nose: golden syrup and honey, lemon and lime, almonds and Macadamia nuts nuts, vanilla and custard
Palate: sweet vanilla custard and lemon sponge with pineapple parts, raspberries and sugar glaze
Finish: sweet, fresh and soft
Sherry Matured
Nose: toffee apple crumble, Christmas pudding, raisins and golden syrup
Palate: cinnamon and cloves, pepper corns and coarse marmalade
Finish: oily and spicy
