Tomatin Cask Strength Edition Batch 1 (57,5%)

The Tomatin Cask Strength Edition Batch 1 is the first release in the Tomatin Cask Strength Series. This series is part of the Tomatin core range as of February 2015 with an annual release. Batch 1 has matured in both bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled at natural cask strength of 57,5% ABV, non chill filtered. A Highlands single malt with spices, sweet notes and smoothness that is best comparable with the GlenDronach Cask Strength, the Glengoyne Cask Strength, the Glenfarclas 105 and the Aberlour A’Bunadh. The first batch is a release of 15000 bottles.

Nose: golden syrup. Orange and lemon. Pears. Walnuts.Ginger biscuits. Gets sweeter with time

Palate: marzipan, burnt sugar. Toasted malt loaf. Chestnuts,Polished leather. Vanilla flavoured tobacco

Finish: dry, with a developing spiciness
