The Balvenie 16yo Triple Cask

The Balvenie 16 years old Triple Cask is a Balvenie travel retail release from 2013. It is the second in this series after the 12yo Triple Cask and has matured in three cask types: first-fill bourbon, refill bourbon and sherry. It was bottled at 40% ABV.

Nose: subtle notes of vanilla, honey, banana, dried fruit and polished wood

Palate: very gentle with notes of cherries, blue grapes, almonds, vanilla, honey, toffee and delicate spices

Finish: silky tannins with a whiff of smoke
