The Glenlivet Captain’s Reserve

The Glenlivet Captain’s Reserve is a Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet finished in cognac casks. It honours Captian William Smith Grant who helped, when other distilleries where shutting down during the Great Depression, the distillery survive and reach it status where it is today. This Speysider was bottled at 40% ABV.

Nose: sweet and fruity with honey, apricot jam, cinnamon bread and liquorice

Palate: mandarins in syrup with poached pears and chocolate raisins

Finish: soft and fruity
