The Flying Dutchman No. 1 was the first European rum distilled from cane sugar melasses. It is fermented at a low temperature in small batches followed by a triple distillation in copper pot stills. Thereafter it matures in oak casks for at least 6 months.
Nose: seductively sweet with a aromas of dried apples and bananas, figs, raisins, vanilla and a hint of rose leaves
Palate: soft and creamy with chocolate milk, gentle citrus and orange blossom
Finish: warm with white chocolate
