Habitation Velier Mount Gay 2011 (52,3%)

The Habitation Velier Mount Gay 2011  is the third Habitation Velier bottling from this famous distillery on Barbados. Compared to it’s predecessors this is the first release called Mount Gay, the former 2 were named Last Ward. This Mount Gay was triple distilled in double retort stills by ex-Master Distiller Frank Ward. It aged for 9 years in bourbon barrels in Barbados and was bottled at natural cask strength of 52,3% ABV.

Nose: soft, jam, raisins, spices and aromas of varnish

Palate: intense with almonds, candied fruit, varnish and wood aromas

Finish: elegant and warm with cherry pits, cocoa and medicinal aromas
