The Littlemill distillery was closed in 1994, dismantled in 1997 and the remains burned down in 2004 but some stock is still remaining and is now owned by the Loch Lomond Group. With this 44 years old Testament they release the oldest bottling to date. A lowlands single malt release distilled in October 1976 and matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry hogsheads. Bottled in December 2020 at natural cask strength of 42,5% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour as a limited release of 250 bottles (of which 50 were destined for Europe). Packed in a luxurious box with an extra dress stopper made from natural sandstone rescued from the remains of the distillery.

Nose: Crisp green apple and zesty grapefruit with fragrant elderflower and ginger

Palate: Fresh, vibrant fruit, tangy pineapple and juicy peach with lime citrus. There is a melted brown sugar sweetness, some dried peel and creamy vanilla

Finish: Long with mouth watering fruit, gooseberry and water melon, then gently warming cinnamon and nutmeg spice
