First Cask Caol Ila 8yo 2006 (59,5%)

A relatively young Caol Ila, 8 years old, released in the First Cask series of Whisky Import Nederland. The First Cask serie is WIN's own label and comprises single cask and cask strength releases selected by owners Marcel Bol and Jan Kok. An Islay single malt distilled on the 25^th of September 2006 and matured in cask 308721. Bottled on the 25^th of Martch 2015 at natural cask strength of 59,5% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour. A limited single cask release of 230 bottles.

Nose: sweet peat, polished leather, creamy caramel and bbq steak

Palate: lots of warm and sweet peat, honey and caramel

Finish: sweet with lots of peat and smoke, ginger, sea salt and sea influences
