Through The Grapevine is a cognac label exclusively selected and distributed by La Maison du Whisky. With this series LMDW wants to offer the rough diamonds under the cognacs as single cask or small batch releases from a variety of producer. The bottles are coloured according to region.
In this case that’s orange a.k.a. the Petit Champagne. This region is known for it’s mostly floral, light and delicate cognacs. One of them is this Conte Filles Millesime 2011 Cask #54. Distilled in 2011 and matured in cask 54. It was bottled in 2017 at 49,8% ABV as a limited release of 804 bottles.
Nose: medicinal with pepper, fruit, milk and coconut
Palate: spices , almond milk, rhubarb, lemon and dired fruit
Finish: milky with aromatic spices like sage
