The Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is a new Remy Martin cognac positioned between the VSOP and XO. On average it’s 4 years old and a blend of cognacs from the Grande Champagne (65%) and Petite Champagne (35%) bottled at 40% ABV. The name comes from the former French king Ludvig XV which allowed Remy Martin to use a large part of the Grand and Petite Champagne in 1738 in order to increase the cognac production.
Nose: Limousin oak with cinnamon, ginger and cloves
Palate: complex like an XO with spicy fruit like orange zest and prunes together with flowers
Finish: rich and long
