Godet Cognac Antarctica is a unique cognac with a long history. In March 2008 Jean-Jacques Godet, owner of Cognac Godet, sails to Antarctica together with the famous adventurer Jerome Poncet. At the 24th of March 2008 they reach Sandefjord, 70° south of the equator. To honour this journey and inspired by the beauty and pureness of the Arctic waters Godet decides to make a cognac that contains these characteristics.
This cognac is made from Folle Blanche grapes and has matured for 7 years in oak casks. The result is a gentle and sensitive cognac with an elegant palate. The colour is very light due to the fact that the cognac has matured in old casks which don't give much colour. By natural filtration also the remaining wood colour is removed resulting in an Icy Cognac.
It is best served ice cold.
