The Xtra Old Particular Carsebridge 41 years old is an old Lowlands single grain from the closed (since 1983) Carsebridge distillery bottled in the Extra Old Particular series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This Carsebridge was distilled in October 1976 and matured in refill hogshead DL12768. It was bottled in August 2018 at natural cask strength of 50,8% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 200 bottles.
Nose: grilled banana with treacle syrup, ginger and toffee
Palate: sweet with aromas of dried fruit, vanilla honey, buttered brioche and a hint of oak
Finish: damp oak with soft spices, candied fruit and a hint of cocoa
